Westoe Women’s Institute
Westoe Women’s Institute is based on the Alberta Women’s Institute first formed in 1909 as an educational organization. It is strictly non-partisan, non-sectarian, and non-political for women working together with the motto, “for home and country”. They aim to improve conditions: within our community, province, across Canada and the world, and to encourage women to be progressive, well informed and up to date in a modern society.
The Priddis WI meets in member homes once monthly for friendship and fun! - on the first Wednesday each month (except for July and August). The group does advance planning so that each meeting often has a guest speaker or activity. A nominal membership fee is required and the group sometimes will raise funds by providing catering services at the Priddis Community Hall. New members are welcome.
