Hello Priddis! It is hard to believe December is in full swing. The month has flown by with the hustle and bustle that comes with the holiday season. The Community Hall is still a busy place with programs and events. Our registered programs will wind down for the holidays, but we are excited to offer many opportunities for our community in the New Year.
Yoga:
Our popular yoga program will be back for a third session in January and February. This registered program consists of 10 classes on Mondays and Thursdays from 7:30-8:30pm. Classes run from January 11- February 15 (no class Feb 12). The cost of this session is $175.00. Please email our Executive Director to register priddisalberta@gmail.com
Pickleball:
Our indoor pickleball drop in has been quite popular and will continue in January. The Hall will be open for play on Thursdays from 4-7pm and Sundays from 1-4pm. There is no cost for this program but we ask that all participants have a community association membership and sign up for their playing time through the following link:
Art Classes:
We are pleased to be offering a second session of after school art classes for children. This registered program is put on by Young Rembrandts. Classes will run from January 10- February 14. They take place at the Hall on Wednesdays from 4:45-5:45. You can register directly with Young Rembrandts through the following link:
Playgroup:
Playgroup is back! Bring your little ones (ages 6 and under) to play in our preschool space while you visit with other community parents. Coffee and juice boxes provided. No cost for PCA members. $5 drop in for non-members. Playgroup will run from 10-11am on the following dates:
Sunday January 14, 2024
Sunday February 11, 2024
Sunday March 17, 2024
Community Skating Rink:
An amazing team of volunteers has begun the process of flooding the rink. The temperature fluctuations still pose a challenge, but they are doing everything they can to get the rink open for the community to enjoy as soon as possible.
Please keep an eye on the website and social media for the opening date and public skating schedule.
A few things to remember so that everyone can enjoy the rink this season:
The rink is for Priddis community members. If you don’t yet have a membership, please purchase one online
Abide by the posted public skating times. There is no public skating allowed during Panther’s practices, games or community shinny
Leave the ice when asked to do so for maintenance (clearing & flooding)
Use the garbage and recycling bins provided
Helmets are mandatory
Be respectful and courteous to other rink users
On behalf of the entire Priddis Community Association board of directors, we would like to take this time to wish you a very happy holiday. We hope the season brings joy and happiness to you and your family. We are grateful to live and work in such a vibrant community and are looking forward to a wonderful 2024.
