May Update

Hello and Happy May, Priddis! We hope to see you at one of the many upcoming programs and events happening in our community.

Our garage sale is coming up this week! Drop off your items that are no longer needed on Friday between 10am and 7pm. Then return to shop on Saturday starting at 9am. We will also have a concession on Saturday. The garage sale is cash only.

The last yoga session before the summer break will begin on May 12. This session has 10 classes that take place Monday and Thursday evenings from 7:30-8:30 at the Hall. All levels are welcome. Email loricwbffpro@gmail.com for more information or to register.

We have planned a community clean up on Sunday May 25 and would appreciate it if you would consider lending a hand. We will meet at the hall at 11am and work together to clean up the yard, rink and playground. A BBQ lunch will be provided for volunteers.

We are pleased to once again be partnering with JPS Furnace for the second annual community pickleball tournament. This fun event will take place on June 21. The cost to enter is $40 and includes at least 4 matches, lunch, prizes and a whole lot of fun. All levels welcome! Email accounting@jpsfurnace.ca for more information or to register.

Planning is already underway for this year’s community stampede breakfast.  Save the date for July 6 and join us for our community’s most popular event. Our breakfast will be bigger and better than ever this year with the addition of a local vendor market. We are also pleased to be welcoming back The Type to play live music again this year. Watch for more volunteer information coming soon. If you or your business would like to make a donation to help support our breakfast please reach out to priddisalberta@gmail.com

With the return of the beautiful weather comes an increase in visitors to our hamlet. We want to remind all community members and guests that the primary purposes of the Priddis Hall Parking lot are for community members utilizing PCA Amenities and for those who have paid to rent the hall. Cars should not be left unattended in our lot for multiple hours. The Priddis Hall parking lot is private property and we would appreciate it if everyone would obey the posted signage at all times.
