Stampede Breakfast
We want to start by thanking everyone who came out to our Stampede Breakfast on July 6. We served 770 people this year! We would also like to thank all of our volunteers as this event would not be possible without you. Thanks also to all of the vendors who set up in our market, The Type for entertaining the crowd, Ali for her wonderful petting zoo set up, Ponies on Parade for bringing their mini horses and Pups With Soul for letting us meet some of their adoptable dogs. We also could not have made this event happen without some great sponsors and community partners. A special thanks to: Foothills County, JPS Furnace, the West Family, Priddis Country Stables, Chaulk Realty, Hilmon Homes, Priddis General Store, Hidden Hills Tours, Lalonde and Associates Elite Wealth Management, Water’s Edge Pub and Gordon Food Services. All of the prizes from the Stampede Breakfast have been claimed. Congratulations to the winners! We are looking forward to next year’s event already!
Priddis Panthers Hockey
While it feels like a long time until the ice will be in at the rink, Priddis Panthers Hockey registration for the 2025/2026 season will be opening soon! Registration will run from mid August until mid September. While league games do not start until November, we have ice booked in Diamond Valley starting at the end of September for teams to begin practicing. Keep an eye on social media for more information about registration.
Priddis Hall Parking Lot
Another friendly reminder that cars left unattended in the Priddis Community Hall parking lot MUST display a valid PCA membership on their dash.
Don’t have a membership? Purchase one here:
Have a membership but need a copy? Email: priddisalberta@gmail.com
A few notes about parking on our property:
Please do not park in front of the hall unless you are there for a program or event at the hall
Please make sure that your car is removed by 8pm so the gate can be closed
The gate will be closed most weekends this summer to be sure that those who rent the hall have the parking space that they need
If you arrive and the gate is open but there is an event at the hall, please park elsewhere
Advanced Health Care Planning Workshop
We are thrilled to be welcoming seasoned presenter Murray Hiebert to the Priddis Hall for an informative evening session titled Advance Health Care Planning and AHS Green Sleeve Preparation Workshop for seniors and caregivers. This important session will take place from 7-8:45pm on September 24. There is no cost to attend but registration is required and participants will be capped at 20. Please email hiebertmb@gmail.com to register.
Upcoming Events
Things will be quiet as far as community events go for the rest of the summer, but we have lots of exciting things planned for the fall. Mark your calendar for the following dates and be sure to stay tuned for more info. We hope to see you at some of these events and would appreciate if you would consider volunteering. Community events such as these can’t happen without the help of volunteers.
Sept 13- Pickleball Tournament (rescheduled from June). Come and cheer on the competitors and enjoy a bbq and beer garden
Oct 25- Community Halloween Party
TBD- Fall Supper
Nov 29- Christmas Market
Nov 30- Photos with Santa and Mrs. Clause
Memberships
This is a friendly reminder that all PCA memberships expire on October 31 each year. Before November 1 you will need to purchase a new membership in order to remain a member in good standing. Why is it important to renew your membership? Not only does it give you access to amenities such as the Rink and Tennis/Pickleball Courts, it also provides a cost savings when purchasing tickets to events such as the Fall Supper and Photos With Santa. Furthermore, those who have been a member in good standing for 2+ consecutive years receive a huge discount on hall rentals. Tip- our membership software allows you to set your membership to “auto renew.” This is a great way to keep your membership up to date without having to worry about or remember if you renewed it.
Stay Connected
In addition to these email newsletters, we also post community information on our website www.priddisalberta.com. However, following us on social media is the best way to stay up to date with everything that is going on. You can find us on Facebook and Instagram.
Suggestions
We are always looking for ways to make our community better. If you have suggestions, or an idea for a program or event, please reach out to our Executive Director at priddisalberta@gmail.com
