The Priddis Community Association has ramped up its winter operations. Be sure to follow us on social media, or visit our website, priddisalberta.com, to stay up to date on events and programs.

  • Fall Supper at the Priddis Community Hall on November 4th was a success! Thank you to all of the volunteers that helped make the event what it was.

  • 2022 Memberships have now expired. If you haven’t had the chance, please renew your membership through our website.

  • Ice, Ice, Baby: the skating rink is open starting November 21st. While this is free to all who wish to skate, we do encourage everyone to hold a PCA membership to support the facilities in Priddis. You can visit our website for information on memberships.

  • Photos with Santa are quickly approaching on November 27th with just a few spots available. Visit the events tab of our website to register and pay for your spot.

  • Our Annual General Meeting is scheduled for December 15th, 7:00pm, at the Priddis Community Hall. All members are welcome to attend.

  • Winterfest is back by popular demand. Join us February 4th for horse-drawn sleigh rides, fireworks, skating, bonfires, hot chocolate and snacks! This is a by-donation event for all members. Please bring cash to donate to the Priddis Community Association to support future events just like this one.

Greetings from the Priddis Community Association! Here is your October Update:

Priddis Library

Have you ever stopped by the Priddis Library? It is honestly one of the best kept secrets of our community. There are hundreds of books with many popular titles. Kids are more than welcome and even have their own area filled with toys. Hours of operation are: Tues/Thurs 3:00-5:00 & Sat 10-12.

Membership Renewal

Memberships are due at the end of the month for the 22/23 year. Online is the quickest way to (re)activate your account. Communal (pca.getcommunal.com) is where the PCA manages memberships and hall rentals, as well as sells event tickets. If you would prefer, membership forms are available at the Priddis General Store.

Priddis General Manager

The board has made some decisions around the logistics of hiring a General Manager and what responsibilities the job would entail. If you are interested in learning more about this position, or to provide some feedback, please join us on October 27th, 7pm at the Community Hall.

Fall Supper

Tickets are selling fast for Fall Supper on November 4th. Doors open at 5pm with dinner at 6pm. This is a catered meal and because of this TICKETS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE IN ADVANCE UNTIL OCTOBER 31st. Tickets will not be available at the door. Cash bar and 50/50 ticket sales for purchase at the event.

Pca.getcommunal.com is where you can directly purchase tickets or visit the events page of priddisalberta.com. If you would prefer another method of payment, please reach out to priddispresident@gmail.com.

Photos with Santa

Come visit the jolly man November 27th, 10:30-4:30 at the Priddis Community Hall. This incredibly popular event sells out every year! Visit the events tab of our website for instructions on registration. Sign up to volunteer and you will receive your photo session for free. Email priddispresident@gmail.com.

Annual General Meeting

This year’s AGM will be hosted at the hall on December 15th at 7:00pm. Please join us to hear all that was accomplished in 2022 and what we are planning for next year and in the years to come.

Please reach out to priddispresident@gmail.com if you have any questions or feedback.

We have had a busy summer at the hall and are back in full swing now that fall is upon us. Here is an update on things to come before 2023:

Priddis Panthers Hockey

Registration for the 2022/23 season is now live. Space is filling up fast. If you have a kid that is interested in playing, please register here: Registration

If you are new to hockey and require a Hockey Canada Number or have any questions, please email Priddis Hockey.

Priddis General Manager

With the increasing hours on volunteer board positions, this style of organization has become unsustainable. The PCA is proposing the addition of a general manager at the hall. For the community, this will mean more programs, events, community gatherings and social connections! At the end of September, the board will meet to finalize the details around hiring. In October, we will host another meeting where community members are welcome to attend and have a say in this transition. Membership Renewal

2021/22 Memberships expire October 31st. If you have not already done so, please visit: Memberships Signing up for auto-renew will streamline this process for the years to come. If you have already registered for Panthers Hockey, your membership is included in registration.

Fall Supper

  • Fall Supper returns November 4th, 2022! Tickets are only being sold in advance due to this being a catered meal. This is an incredibly popular event with just 125 tickets available. Ticket purchases can be made here: Events

  • Purchase or renew your membership to receive a discount for this event.

  • Volunteers and a volunteer coordinator are needed to make this event possible. Please reach out to Priddis President if you are able to help. Volunteers receive a free dinner.

  • If you have volunteered for the PCA in 2022, and haven't received a gift from us, please contact priddispresident@gmail.com as we would like to say THANK YOU with a complimentary ticket to Fall Supper.

Tennis Courts

The ever deteriorating surface conditions have become a liability concern. The good news is that the board has begun the process of applying for grants and raising funds to resurface the courts. If you are passionate about bringing this amenity back to life then we would love to hear from you. This is a large project that could use help in procuring funds.

Annual General Meeting

Please join us at the Community Hall on December 15th at 7pm to hear about all that the Priddis Community Association achieved in 2021/22. More importantly, you will hear about the upcoming excitement in 2023.

Board Volunteers

If you are interested in giving back to the community by volunteering on the board of directors, we encourage you to reach out. Let us know your skill set and we will find you a role.

If you have any questions or friendly feedback, you can always reach out to Priddis President. To make this community the best that it can be, suggestions and volunteerism are highly encouraged.
